From the 12th of November to the 19th of December, prepare to be mesmerised by stunning light displays, an enchanting atmosphere and magic.

Do we need tickets?

Yes, tickets must be booked in advance. There will be no tickets available on the gate. You’re welcome to visit the Café and Stable Shops during the evening without a trail ticket, but garden access requires a valid trail ticket.

Are dogs welcome?

Yes, well-behaved dogs on short leads are very welcome. Please clean up after them.

Can I use discount vouchers or membership cards?

No discounts or memberships (including HHA) are accepted for this event.

Is the trail accessible for wheelchairs?

While some areas include steps, an alternative accessible route is available for wheelchair users. To arrange assistance, please contact 01473 890799 or email events@helmingham.com

Do you offer carer tickets?

Yes. We can offer a free carer ticket if somebody is disabled and would be unable to attend the event without the help of a carer. To book a carer ticket, please follow the standard booking process and select the number of individual tickets required (please note: family tickets cannot be used in these transactions). Once booked, please email info@helmingham.com with proof of carer/disabled status and we will refund the cost of the carer ticket (excluding booking fee). Please also note that requests for carer ticket refunds, including the provision of supporting documentation must be sent over within a week of booking your tickets.

The following are accepted as confirmation of carer status:

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Attendance Allowance (AA)
  • Blind Persons Registration
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
  • CredAbility’s Access Card with +1 symbol
  • CEA Card
What should I wear or bring?

Please wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear. Paths can be uneven or slippery in places. A torch is also recommended for darker areas of the trail.

Will there be refreshments?

Please note the Café is closed during the trail (there is a Christmas marketing in the Café area)

Before or After the trail there is a hot donut van, serving freshly made donuts and hot drinks.

During the trail you’ll find:

  • Roasted Caramelised Almonds from Tudor’s Luxury Pralines
  • Californian Burritos, Loaded Fries and Loaded Nachos (GF/VG options) from Surfing Sombrero
  • Gourmet Hotdogs from The Flying Chef
  • S’mores Packs for roasting over the fire pits!
  • Your favourite hot and cold drinks from our own Tavern Bar (including luxury hot chocolate)
Is parking free?

Yes, there is ample free parking on site.

Can I change my booking?

While tickets are non-refundable, you can use the ‘Manage my Booking’ option on your confirmation email up to 7 days before your event date (subject to availability). We are unable to swap tickets for other dates outside of this.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No, just show your barcode on a mobile device at the entrance. Be sure to download it in advance, as signal on site can be patchy.
