Ed’s Incredible Marathon
Edward Tollemache took on the gruelling 250km Marathon des Sables across the Sahara Desert to raise funds for the pioneering Cambridge Children’s Hospital. We sat down with him to hear first-hand about the highs, lows and sheer endurance of his extraordinary challenge.
May Garden Focus
This month has seen us getting on top of much of the “pre-opening” work, including – but not limited to – turfing.
March Garden Focus
With the Apple Walk pruning complete, that’s only half the story for our apple pruning. We now move on to our Orchard, or what remains of a once larger orchard that covered our wildflower meadow.
February Garden Focus
With bright days few and far between in January, they become particularly precious when they do occur. It’s been quite warm, if not wet and very windy, but we’ve still been able to ‘get on’. November Garden Focus
In November, we’re fully focused on readying Helmingham Hall Gardens for winter and the season ahead.
October Garden Focus
As cutting season comes to a close, we are nearing the completion of clearing the moat and the vegetation along its banks. While it’s a tiresome task, it’s a crucial part of managing and maintaining these areas.
We’re a Top 10 Guardian Garden
