Music by Moonlight Great British Rock

Helmingham Hall is excited to welcome guests for the first-ever set of intimate concert experiences, set beneath the glow of a giant moon in the magnificent Great Hall. 

This special evening will feature Great British Rock performed by the renowned string ensemble Kavolini.

Kavolini, a dynamic string group based in Norfolk, was formed in 2015 by musicians who have performed with prestigious British orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. The ensemble’s members have also toured globally, working with renowned bands like Blur, The Cranberries, and The Pretenders.

Take a journey through the very best of British music with Great British Rock, a dynamic set list that spans generations and genres. From the pioneering pop of The Beatles to the soaring anthems of Queen, and from the introspective sounds of Radiohead to the chart-topping brilliance of modern icons like Harry Styles and Coldplay, this collection showcases the evolution and enduring power of UK rock and pop. Opening with the timeless charm of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles, the set flows through golden melodies like Sting’s “Fields of Gold”, and the raw energy of The Kinks’ “All Day And All Of The Night.” Britpop gets its moment with Blur’s evocative “The Universal,” before Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” ignites the room with pure joy.

Modern classics like Muse’s “Starlight,” Clean Bandit’s genre-blending “Rather Be,” and Harry Styles’ emotional “Sign Of The Times” bring a fresh edge, while iconic anthems like “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall” ground the set in rock legend status. Finishing with uplifting tracks like “Here Comes The Sun” and Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida,” this set list is a celebration of Britain’s musical brilliance – bold, nostalgic, and unforgettable.
