10th October 2025
Music, moonlight and Helmingham - a magical combination
An intimate concert in the Great Hall
10th October 2025
Helmingham Hall is excited to welcome guests for the first-ever set of intimate concert experiences, set beneath the glow of a giant moon in the magnificent Great Hall.
This special evening will feature Cinematic Classics performed by the renowned string ensemble Kavolini.
Kavolini, a dynamic string group based in Norfolk, was formed in 2015 by musicians who have performed with prestigious British orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. The ensemble’s members have also toured globally, working with renowned bands like Blur, The Cranberries, and The Pretenders.
Step into the magic of the movies with Cinematic Classics, a rich and evocative set list that brings the silver screen to life through music. From timeless themes to modern favorites, this collection captures the drama, romance, adventure, and wonder that define the greatest moments in film. We open with the unmistakable suspense of the James Bond Theme, followed by the romantic beauty of “La Vie En Rose” as heard in WALL-E. Disney enchantment comes to the forefront with “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto and the dreamy “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Pinocchio. Fun and nostalgia hit with the upbeat “Ghostbusters”, while the passionate tango “Por Una Cabeza” evokes the elegance of Scent of a Woman.
The heartfelt “She” from Notting Hill and the emotional powerhouse “Shallow” from A Star Is Born add a contemporary, soulful touch. The heroic “March” from Superman and the tender “Glasgow Love Theme” from Love Actually offer a beautiful contrast of epic and intimate.
Rounding out the program are sweeping scores like the thrilling Pirates of the Caribbean Suite, and two iconic Bond ballads – the glamorous “Diamonds Are Forever” and the hauntingly powerful “Skyfall.” This set is a cinematic journey, perfect for fans of film and music alike.
