Illuminated Garden Trail 2019

November 23, 2019 4:30 pm - December 8, 2019 8:00 pm

Our magical Illuminated Garden Trail is back and is bigger and better than before!

An unmissable event to start off the festive season, see the grounds adorned with thousands of lights transforming the gardens into an enchanted winter wonderland.

Start the trail off by crossing Helmingham Hall’s famous drawbridge (pulled up every night since 1510) and warming up with a complimentary mulled wine within the courtyard seeped in over 500 years of historical charm. Continue through the gardens absorbing the magical sights and sounds, gather around the fire pits to toast marshmallows for s’mores and end the evening browsing the Stables Shops where you may be able to find some early Christmas gifts!

Are dogs welcome?

All well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome – please ensure that you clean up after them though!

Can I use my HHA Membership or any other membership or discount vouchers for entry?

No, I’m afraid that we don’t accept any memberships or discounts for this special event.

Is the Illuminated Garden Trail accessible for wheelchairs?

Due to the nature of the Grade 1 Listed gardens and numerous sets of steps, there is a limited route for wheelchair users. We will be on hand to offer assistance and direct wheelchair users along the trail. If you have specific access needs please call 01473 890799 and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What should I wear/bring?

Some of the paving is as old as the house and can be uneven and slippery in places so we suggest suitable footwear and to wrap up warm! Some areas of the trail will be darker than others so we suggest bringing a torch just in case!

Will there be refreshments available?

The Coach House Tearooms will be serving hot drinks and festive treats. There will also be two refreshment stops along the trail which will serve hot drinks, festive alcoholic treats and not forgetting the s’mores kits!

Is parking free?

There is ample free parking.
