are amazing evenings of Opera by Britain's
leading outdoor Opera company 'Opera
Brava'.
The operas are sung in English.

Friday
8 July – 8:00 pm GALA
For
both the lifelong opera lover and the
novice, this programme fully staged will
contain a feast of opera’s most
inspiring music that will create a positive
and lasting memory.
The
programme in the first half includes such
gems as: “Nessun Dorma” the
“Lakme” duet, the “Pearl
Fishers” duet, the “Rigoletto
Quartet” “Largo al Factotum”
from the Barber of Seville and many others.
The second half includes “Champagne”
from Die Fledermaus, Gershwin melodies,
Bernstein’s West Side story and
a popular medley from the Gilbert &
Sullivan operas, interspersed with informative
and comic anecdotes.

Carmen
lays claim to the title of ‘The
Most Popular Opera’.
The music, full of extravagant melody
and rich in operatic hits has captivated
audiences over the decades. This production,
vibrant with energy and passion, takes
hold of the dramatic story of Carmen and
captivates you - the audience - to witness
an unforgettable evening.

The
operas are performed directly in front
of the spectacular moated Helmingham Hall,
which is flood lit and creates a dramatic
back drop and fantastic acoustics.
People attending
the opera are invited to bring a picnic
and a chair or rug to sit on, and to visit
the Grade I listed gardens which will
be open from 6pm on the evening.
