By creating the arched tunnels through the vegetable plots we have introduced new walks and vistas. George Carter made the two seats on the south-facing border and we have now planted up the surrounding beds. Two bridges lead out of the Walled Garden: an ancient one that takes visitors to the Apple Walk and a new bridge, also designed by George Carter, leading into the Wild Flower Garden at the end of the main border.
