As we leave the main walled border, before crossing George Carter’s bridge into the Wild Flower Garden, there is a border planned to flower in late summer. The colour scheme is pink, silver and white. Nicotiana ‘Sensation Mixed’ are planted annually between shrubs such as Viburnums ‘Hillieri’, ‘Carlessii’ and ‘Judii’, Spirea ‘Gold Flame’, hebes and pink and white hydrangeas. Late-flowering clematis scramble through roses and shrubs.
