Continuing our idea of planting up the borders that lie within the walls inside the garden, we created yew buttresses on the north-facing side in 1998. Inside each section we sow a selection of annuals to give a show of colour in mid to late summer. These are planted in colour schemes of pinks and reds, blues and purples and yellows and bronzes.

We are continuing this scheme down the north-facing side with wire buttresses and ornamental vegetables.
