 Turning left before the gate, this east-facing border adjoining the Annual Border houses decorative and unusual shrubs such as Griselinia Littoralis, Lonicera involucrata and Euonymus 'Red Cascade’, but is punctuated by different forms of grasses. Hellebores are planted for early interest and ground cover. Grasses include Festuca glauca, Miscanthus ‘Silberspinner’, ‘Rotsilber’, and ‘Graziella, Luzula sylvatica, Aurea, Sesera nitida, Deschampia ‘Petra’s Gold’, Carex ‘Frosted Curls’ and Testacea imperator cylindrica ‘Red Baron’.
