A visit to the gardens makes a perfect day out for everyone. There is a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to enjoy the serenity and tranquillity of the gardens, to loose themselves in the plethora of colour, scents and history. It is recommended to allow 2 hours to visit the gardens however most people stay much longer taking the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch or a cream tea in The Coach House and to visit the gift shops, produce and plant stall.

Group and Coach Parties
We see a wide variety of groups and clubs, as well as tour operators, from all over the world visiting the captivating gardens each year.

Parking - Free coach and car parking.

Disabled Facilities - There is full wheelchair access to all of the gardens.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Home-grown seasonal produce from Helmingham Kitchen Gardens and plants from the nursery.

Although not registered organic our produce is grown the traditional way, with little or generally no chemicals.



The Coach House Tea Rooms
A wonderful section of cream teas and cakes are served in The Coach House Tea Rooms every day when the Gardens are open.

The delicious spread is made using produce from the gardens and Suffolk producers wherever possible. Try the tasty scones and cakes, freshly filled sandwiches, exciting salads and local apple juice, cider and ales.

The Stable Shops
The Stable Shops host a number of local arts and crafts as well as a range of local produce, gardens accessories and gifts - the perfect opportunity to find a little piece of Suffolk to take home!
