Lady Tollemache has invited two very
experienced and knowledgeable speakers
to Helmingham for the garden lectures
this year. Dr James Compton a Fellow of
Botany at Reading University and Fergus
Garrett, Head Gardener at Great Dixter,
both have dedicated their whole careers
or perhaps some would say their lives,
to plants and the gardening world but
both in very different ways.
Lecture
days are restricted to about 50 attendees
and are very special days of informative
lectures with full colour slides, questions
and discussion, fine food and stunning
surroundings – it is the only opportunity
this year for members of the public to
cross the drawbridge and enter the Hall
for a reception in the Great Hall.
