The county of Suffolk is unique in it's agricultural past. The Suffolk Punch is probably the oldest working horse breed in the world to exist in a form we recognise today.

The Suffolk Punch Trust has been formed to take over the running of the Stud and Prison Service and into private charitable trust ownership. Its aim is to expand the breeding programme for the very special animal, to increase the opportunities for prisoners to work in the a wider variety of jobs and to allow the greater public opportunity to enjoy these magnificent horses famous for their size, strength and reliability.

Breeds such as The Suffolk Punch, The Large Black Pig and Red Poll Cattle were once common in Suffolk but are becoming more and more endangered. We hope that this show will enable people to catch a glimpse of what the Suffolk Farm looked like in days gone by! There will also be a beautiful display of Horse Drawn Vehicles by the British Driving Society and local music and great local food as well as craft and trade stands. <

Admission Adults £7.00 and Children £1.00. Tickets can be purchased in advance via the telephone 01473 890 799
It will be possible to make a donation to the Suffolk Punch Trust on the day and Helmingham Estate will be donating a minimum of 50p per person from the admissions on the day.
